EVENT AND HOSPITALITY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions (T&Cs) apply to the purchase of a corporate hospitality package, ticket to an event and attendance at an event hosted by the Carlton Football Club Limited ACN 005 449 909 (CFC). You agree to these T&Cs by purchasing corporate hospitality packages and for purchasing and attending a CFC event or an event sold by CFC on behalf of a third party. If you do not accept or comply with these T&Cs, your attendance may be prohibited.

  1. Prices and payment:
    Each booking form that you submit will constitute a separate agreement between you and CFC on the terms set out in these T&Cs. To the extent of any inconsistency between these T&Cs and the contents of a booking form, these T&Cs will prevail.

    All prices are inclusive of GST. Payment in full is required at the time of booking (or unless otherwise specified). Where concessions are applicable, suitable and valid identification must be provided. Payment can be made online, in person or by phone with a credit card (or unless otherwise specified).

  2. Ticket limits:
    Limits of the number of tickets that can be purchased for any event may apply at the discretion of CFC. If you exceed the ticket limit, any or all of your orders and tickets may be cancelled without notice by CFC in its discretion. This includes orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or other information.
     
  3. Conditions of entry:
    It may be a condition of entry to individual events that a search of the person and / or their possessions will be required at the time of the entry to the venue. Cameras, audio and video recorders may not be permitted. The right is reserved to broadcast or telecast any event live or delayed. Entry may be refused if tickets are damaged or defaced in any way.
     
  4. Program:
    CFC reserves the right to alter the event or corporate hospitality program as advertised at any time without prior notice, including the date, venue, seating arrangements, audience capacity, entertainment and activities. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard. If the date, time or venue of an event is rescheduled or changed, your ticket will remain valid for the rescheduled date, venue and time.
     
  5. Event postponement: Should an event be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, all tickets purchased for the original date will be transferred to the rescheduled date.
     
  6. Event cancellations:
    Purchases of hospitality packages or event tickets are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled by you after purchase.

    CFC may cancel part or all of an event (in its absolute discretion) without notice, including if an event outside CFC’s reasonable control occurs including fire, storm, flood, earthquake, explosion, war, invasion, rebellion, sabotage, epidemic, labour dispute, labour shortage, failure or delay in transportation and act or omission of any third person (including subcontractors, customers, governments or government agencies). CFC will use its best endeavours to re-schedule any event that is cancelled by it for reasons outside its reasonable control./p>

    Should CFC cancel an event at its convenience or due to unforeseen circumstances (and decide not to re-schedule the event), CFC will endeavour to process a full refund within 30 days of such circumstances becoming known.

  7. Substitutions:
    Should an attendee be unable to attend the event, they may send someone else in their place. Bookings will remain under the original booking name.
     
  8. Refunds:
    If you cannot attend a rescheduled event and you contact us for a refund at least 5 days prior to the event date by emailing us at corporatesales@carltonfc.com.au and provide the original ticket(s) and proof of purchase, CFC will refund to you the ticket price inclusive of booking fees but exclusive of delivery or mail fees and/or any processing surcharge. If you are entitled to a refund and CFC has not already mailed your ticket, then CFC will also refund you any delivery fee associated with the purchase of such ticket(s). CFC reserves the right to not refund, exchange or substitute tickets after purchase nor replace tickets that may have been stolen, lost or destroyed, other than as set out in these T&Cs, except as required by law. Please treat your tickets like cash as we cannot replace lost tickets. If a refund is made, CFC may, to the extent permitted by law, retain any fee it has been charged. All refunds will only be made back to the credit card of the individual, organisation or institution used in the original transaction from which payment was received.
     
  9. Lost tickets: CFC reserves the right to charge a fee for the replacement of tickets. CFC reserves the right not to refund, exchange or substitute tickets after purchase nor replace tickets that may have been stolen, lost or destroyed, except as required by law.
     
  10. Image Release: In registering or booking for and attending CFC events, attendees grant permission to CFC, its agents and others working under its authority, to take and to have full and free use of video/photographs/recordings containing their image/likeness. These images may be used for any purpose by or for CFC including promotional, news, on-line/multimedia, research and/or education. Attendees agree that they are not entitled to remuneration, residuals, royalties or any other payment from CFC in respect of their image/likeness or its use. Attendees release, discharge, and hold harmless, CFC and its agents from any and all claims, demands or causes of actions that they may hereafter have by reason of anything contained in the photographs or video. Should an attendee not agree to the above image release, they must advise CFC in writing by emailing corporatesales@carltonfc.com.au.
     
  11. Event attendance:
    The right of admission to an event may be subject to the venue's terms of admission. CFC does not accept any responsibility for the security of or safety of the personal belongings of either you or those who attend the event with you. Attendance is voluntary and at the individual's own risk and except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, CFC (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the event.
     
  12. Behaviour: You must be fully responsible for your own conduct and for the conduct of those who attend the event with you. CFC reserves the right to prohibit entry of any person to a CFC event, or eject any person from a CFC event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by CFC staff and/or its agents and others working under its authority. All guests in attendance must adhere to the CFC Events Code of Condut seen below.
     
  13. Dress Code
    The events and/or the venues hosting the events have prescribed minimum dress standards. Generally, dress code details will also be included on tickets and/or detailed in event confirmation letters and/or emails. You must ensure all attendees conform to the dress code specified for the event by CFC and/or venue hosting the event, which at a minimum is smart casual (refer to individual event information for full dress code). CFC and/or the venue hosting the event reserve the right to refuse entry to any attendee who does not meet the minimum dress standards prescribed for the event.
     
  14. Entry to Children
    Certain events are not suitable for guests under the age of 18. Where age restrictions apply, CFC will advise of the restriction at the time of promoting the event, or in advance of you purchasing tickets for that event.

    Tickets cannot be purchased for guests under the age of 18 when restrictions apply. You will not be reimbursed for the incorrect purchase of a ticket for a minor for an event to which age restrictions apply (except with CFC's consent, which may be withheld in its sole discretion).

    For all events, you must ensure that any guest who is under 18 years of age is accompanied and supervised at all times by his or her parent or guardian.

  15. Resale and/or use of tickets: Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of CFC, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via on-line auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by the original purchaser or any subsequent bearer. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.
     
  16. Scalping: The resale of tickets in certain circumstances is governed by ticket sales legislation and may attract criminal penalties.
     
  17. Privacy and communications:
    1. CFC handles the personal information it collects in connection with events payments, bookings and attendance in accordance with its privacy policy which can be found at: www.carltonfc.com.au/privacy or is available by calling 03 9387 1400. Our privacy policy explains how we use and disclose the personal information (including any overseas disclosures), how to request access to or correct your personal information and how to make a privacy complaint and how we handle complaints. CFC will use and disclose your personal information to process payments, deal with enquiries and disputes, manage events and it may also send you information about CFC events, promotions and specials and on behalf of selected third parties. The terms of the Privacy Policy form part of these T&Cs.

    2. You confirm that you have the consent of all the individuals whose personal information you provide to CFC and you have let them know about CFC's privacy policy.

  18. Variation:
    These T&Cs as they apply to an existing booking may be varied only by agreement in writing between each of CFC and you. CFC reserves the right to amend the T&Cs relating to event payments, bookings and attendance at any time without prior notice to you.
     
  19. No waiver by CFC:
    Any waiver by CFC, when exercising any right, power or provision of these T&Cs, does not mean a waiver of any other right, power or provisions or the same one in the future. Also any delay in exercising a right, power or provision should not be taken to be a waiver by CFC.
     
  20. Severance:
    If any or any part of these terms or conditions are found to be unenforceable.
     
  21. Laws of Victoria:
    These T&Cs and any claims, actions or disputes are governed by the laws of Victoria.

CFC Events Code Conduct

At the Carlton Football Club (Club), we believe that everyone has the right to enjoy all games, club functions and events in a safe, respectful and supportive enviornment. The Club takes great pride in the way our games and functions are delivered and seeks to ensure that all guests enjoy their experience.

In line with above, the Club expects its guests, at ll times, to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with this Code of Conduct and the Club's core values of Respect, United, Humility, Excellence, Integrity and Relentless. Carlton's values underpin how the Club operates, describing how our people work together, interact and behave.

Please ensure you are familiar with this Code of Conduct, which applies to any person attending an event hosted by the Club.

A failure to comply with this Code of Conduct (and/or any terms and conditions/code of conduct of the relevant venue) is likely to result in the Club and/or the venue operator requesting you to leave the venue and you may be prohibited from attending Club events in future. 

Behaviour

In the interest and comfort of all guest, the Club requires that all attendees:

  • comply with all conditions of entry to the venue, including bag inspections;
  • abide by all reasonable directions from Club and venue staff;
  • respect each person they encounter at Club functions/events;
  • remain quiet during all speeches and presentations;
  • adhere to the event's relevant dress code.

To ensure a safe, respectful and positive experience for all guests, the Club (and the venues in which Club events are held) will not tolerate the following from its guests or attendees:

  • drunk and/or disorderly behaviour;
  • swearing or threatening behaviour;
  • disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour towards other guests;
  • engaging in any conduct which humiliates, intimidates, disparages or vilifies any other person on any basis including, but not limited to race, religion, colour, disability, age, gender, ethnic origin, sexual preference, orientation or gender identity;
  • engaging in obscene or offensive language, causing violence, inappropriate touching, gestures or sexually suggestive comments;
  • any form of abuse; be it physical or verbal;
  • damage to property;
  • any form of racism and/or discrimination;
  • smoking (including e-cigarettes of vapes) within the event (unless there is a space where such activity is expressly permitted);
  • bringing any forbidden objects into the venue;

Any person who engages in any of the above prohibited behaviours is at risk of being removed from the function/event. If you are required to leave the function or event for any reason, you will not be entitled to a refund or any form of compensation.

If you observe any inappropriate behaviour, and to ensure the enjoyment of the event for all guests, please report this behaviour to Club or venue staff who will address the matter appropriately. 

Responsible Service of Alcohol

The responsible service of alcohol (RSA) is taken very seriously by the Club and associated venue operators to ensure all guests have a safe and enjoyable time. Anyone who is, or appears to be, intoxicated may be refused service of alcohol or removed from the venue under RSA requirements.

Dress Code

Please ensure your guests are aware of the dress code of the function or event you are attending, as security will not permit access to the function room unless suitably attired.

A guide to the dress code at Club events is set out below:

Casual

Neat casual attire; jeans pant of tailored shorts, dresses, jumpsuits and playsuits. Denim permitted.

Business Casual

Pants, chinos, tailored dresses, skirts, button-down shorts and blouses. Blazers and ties optional.

Cocktail Attire

Shirts, dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, tailored pants and chinos. Blazers and ties optional. Strictly no denim.

Business Formal

Business suits, tailored pants, collared shirts, blouses, tailored dresses and skirts. Tie optional. Strictly no denim.

Black Tie

Tuxedo jackets, white dress shirts, black ties, formal floor-length or cocktail length gowns. Bow ties optional. Strictly no denim.

Footwear

Please ensure that appropriate footwear is worn at all times - no runners, thongs, gumboots or slippers are permitted.

Guests and Dietary Requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have confirmed all guest names and their dietary requirements to the Club's Events team via the event portal or at events@carltonfc.com.au by COB on the Monday prior to game day or event. If you have not submitted dietary requirements by then, they may not be catered for at the function.

It is also your responsibility to ensure that guests that you invite or bring to Club events are aware of, and abide by, this Code of Conduct. Any breach of this Code of Conduct by your guest/s may impact your ability to access and attend Club events in future.

We trust you understand that the Club's Code of Conduct is in place to ensure a great experience for everyone that attends Carlton events and functions.
